  • Billing information (processed by Stripe; not stored by us)
  • Content you upload or input into the Service

B. Information We Receive From Meta/Instagram

We receive only the permissions you approve through Meta Login:

  • Instagram account ID
  • Profile info
  • Media, thumbnails, captions, hashtags, insights metrics
  • Email, depending on Meta permissions

C. Automatically Collected Technical Data

  • IP Address, device type, browser
  • Usage logs and diagnostic data

2. How We Use Your Information

A. To Provide the Service

We use your data to deliver analytics, insights, and optimization features.

B. To Improve Algorithm Efficiency

We analyze your Instagram mediaimages, thumbnails, captions, metricssolely to improve accuracy of insights for your own account.

We do NOT:

  • Train global models on identifiable Instagram data
  • Create cross-user identifiable datasets
  • Sell any data

Any internal improvements use aggregated, de-identified features only.

C. Transactional Emails

We may send required communications such as account, login, billing, and service notices.

D. Optional Marketing Emails

Sent only if you opt in.

3. Data Retention & Deletion

If you disconnect Instagram:

  • All IG media, thumbnails, captions, metrics, and AI outputs are deleted within 7 days.
We retain your email only to:
  • Prevent multiple free trials
  • Maintain transaction refund records
  • Prevent fraud

4. Data Protection

We use HTTPS, encrypted storage, secure tokens, AWS security, and limited admin access.

Third-party processors:

  • Stripe
  • AWS
  • OpenAI (with confidentiality restrictions)

5. User Rights

You may request data access, correction, deletion, or export by emailing support@optimizesocial.ai

6. Children's Privacy

We do not knowingly serve users under 18.
